Play Now & gameplay fixes

V1.3 · Smoother games, better kicks, and mobile shift lock

New

  • Mobile shift lock: tap LOCK on the right side to turn it on or off.
  • NPC kickers handle Play Now kickoffs and punts, complete with team gear and pads.

Changes

  • Play Now pass rushers have a 20% lower speed ceiling and slower acceleration.
  • The in-game player leaderboard is removed on mobile.
  • Camera-driven head movement is temporarily disabled.
  • Performance improvements for movement in Play Now.

Fixes

  • Games finish correctly when the fourth-quarter clock reaches zero.
  • Overtime coin tosses, possessions, scoring, and extra periods work correctly.
  • Field goals and PATs visibly snap to the holder and kick from the hold spot.
  • Missed kicks resolve more reliably.
  • NPC punters use a backup model when a teammate character is missing or incomplete.
  • Players cannot go around the pre-snap line-of-scrimmage barrier or block through it.
  • Kicking and holding animations no longer stay stuck after the play.
  • Skipping the tutorial no longer leaves the main menu buttons unresponsive.
